About the route
Kanyakumari lies just across the border in Tamil Nadu, roughly 90 km from Thiruvananthapuram via NH-66. The drive is flat and straightforward, and the main draw is the point where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet, along with the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Thiruvalluvar statue reached by ferry.
- Sunrise and sunset departures both available
- Inter-state trip — permit is handled by us
- Commonly done as a long day trip from Trivandrum or Kovalam
What's included
The fare covers fuel, driver bata and AC. This is an inter-state journey, so a Tamil Nadu permit applies; we arrange it and show the cost separately rather than burying it in the quote.
- Fuel, driver bata and AC included
- Fixed all-inclusive fare agreed upfront
- Experienced local chauffeur
- Toll and parking shown separately, never hidden
- Inter-state permit arranged (charged separately)
Best time & tips
For sunrise you'll want to leave Trivandrum around 3am, which sounds brutal but is the reason most people make the trip. October to February gives the clearest horizons. The ferry to the Vivekananda Rock does not run in rough weather, so check before committing to a long day.
Frequently asked questions
A sedan is ₹3,000 all-inclusive one way and an Innova Crysta ₹4,800. Return and full-day packages are quoted separately and usually work out better value.
Yes, an inter-state permit applies. We arrange it and list the cost separately with your quote so there's no surprise on the day.
Comfortably. Most people leave very early for sunrise and are back in Trivandrum by mid-afternoon. We price it as a day hire with the driver waiting throughout.
